Expanding cooperation with the NetEase Cloud Music service

As the popularity of overseas content is growing in China, we continue to improve our operations in these territories. We are glad to announce the expansion of cooperation with the music service NetEase Cloud Music, which is one of the largest in China.

NetEase Cloud Music operates in China with the exception of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. The service launched in 2013 and is the fastest growing music service in China. In 2019, the service added 200 million users, bringing its total user base to a record 800+ million. NetEase represents the largest share of international music among all services in China, with more than 50% of streaming coming from non-Chinese music. NetEase offers users 4 types of subscriptions:

  • Ad-Supported Service – allows you to listen to music online for free with breaks for ads in low sound quality of 128 kbps.
  • Basic Subscription Service – subscription allows you to listen to music online without restrictions and offline up to 300 songs in 320 kbps sound quality
  • Premium Subscription Service is a subscription with Basic Subscription functionality, but the number of songs available for offline listening reaches up to 500.
  • VIP Subscription Service – for unlimited music listening, access to discounts and coupons for service products, access to purchase of tickets for concerts, radio programs, lyrics, as well as customizable features of the music player.
