New music service – Pretzel
We are pleased to announce the signing of an agreement with the Pretzel service. Pretzel (https://www.pretzel.rocks/) is a service that provides music for live video streaming platforms.
The main clients of the service are the Twitch and YouTube platforms. The advantage of using the Pretzel service for streamers on Twitch is that videos where licensed music is used will not be blocked. If a user uses someone’s music in his stream without permission, then, most likely, the platform will block this video.
Twitch is a leading video streaming platform with 140 million monthly visitors and 12 million active users. The service owns 90% of the global video streaming market.
Pretzel has 400,000 active users and allows users to choose music from 50 stations with different genres. The service provides users (streamers) with two types of subscriptions:
- free subscription — without the ability to scroll through the song, it works like a radio, with the name of the song and the artist displayed in a Twitch chat with a link to Spotify. To date, Pretzel has generated 2 million clicks on links to digital platforms from a Twitch chat.
- paid subscription — allows you to choose music for the stream from selected playlists and create your own playlists. In a paid subscription, there is no display of the track name in the chat. The subscription cost is$ 15 per month.
The content on the site is monetized only through a paid subscription. The content in the free subscription is monetized through links to streaming services.
The platform accepts content only if you own and transfer to us 100 copyright and 100 related rights in the song.
